ASSEMBLING AND DISAMBLING

        There are two types of Computer i.e. Branded PC or assembled PC. In branded Computer the overall control by manufactures and there is no role of user. On other hand user has full control over assembled computer

Assembling: - attach/connect internal and external components of a computer system is known as assembled PC.

Disassembling: - deattach/remove all the internal and external components of a computer for the purpose of maintance or up gradation knows as dissembling of PC

Internal component: - Internal component are those component, which can be, attach inside the system cabinet. E.g.: - HDD, M/B, FDD, mP, CD DRIVE, SMPS, RAM, Cable etc

External components: - external components or those components which can be attach outside the system cabinet e.g.:- Monitor, keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Scanner, Speaker, Webcam etc.

Components required for assembling a Pc: -

When user purchase the motherboard from vendor than user must know the chipset number.

Chipset Name: - The collection of chips is called chipset.

If same company makes motherboard and chipset then it’s know as original M/B. Motherboard otherwise it’s known as non-motherboard chipset motherboard.

Precaution while doing Assembling and Disassembling of a PC: -

1.    System should be completely unplugged.

    2. Working space should be neat and clean.

    3. Before assembling and disassembling you must write the documentation.

    4. Use proper size of screwdriver.

    5. Never use over and under size screw.

    6. Always avoid static electricity.

    7. If possible use antistatic wrist strap.

    8. For handling screws use parts organizer.

    9. For handling semiconductor devices e.g. RAM, mP, etc use antistatic bag.

   10. Never use carpet in your lab.
